Bringing Back Lost Vision

Ramesh, a 55-year old daily wage worker, had been gradually losing vision in both eyes over the past few years due to cataract. He was the sole breadwinner for his family of four, and with a failing vision, he was unable to continue his work and make ends meet. When Ramesh heard about the free eye camps conducted by the Bothra Foundation, he decided to get his eyes examined. The ophthalmologist diagnosed advanced cataract in both eyes and recommended immediate surgery. However, Ramesh could not afford the surgery cost and had lost all hope. That’s when the Bothra Foundation stepped in. They sponsored Ramesh’s cataract surgery and intraocular lens implants at GEF Eye Hospital. The intricate surgery was successful, and after a few weeks of recovery, Ramesh was able to see clearly again! With his vision restored, Ramesh can now continue working and providing for his family. He is extremely grateful to the Bothra Foundation for giving him a new lease of life and the joy of sight. Ramesh now spreads awareness about Bothra Foundation’s work in his community so others with eye problems can also benefit. Ramesh’s story is just one of the many examples of how the Bothra Foundation is making quality eye care accessible to the economically disadvantaged. Their charitable work is a beacon of hope for many like Ramesh, helping improve their lives in meaningful ways.
